I was replacing a broken screen on my iPhone 6 Plus and I ripped the connector out from the flex cable that is built into the metal plate that come accross the screen. My question is if I replace the metal plate with built in flex cable, will my Touch ID work? The home button seems fine. Thanks a lot
As long as you didn’t damage the HB, then it will be fine with a replacement heat shield/Link flex.
Yes, as long as your home button isn’t damaged - you can just replace the back plate with a new home button flex
