Hello there I have problem with my iPad air 2 wifi model. Afletr update I got error and apple service diagnose my iPad as damaged flash memory, I don’t have warranty. I just wonder if I will replace emmc flash on my own will touch ID still works ? I can buy new already programmed emmc but problem is that this flash has other serial number then my iPad and I dont know if this will kill my touch id. What do you think ? Thanks for any advices

If you are referring to replacing the NAND memory chip on the logic board, some suppliers (VIPProgrammer I believe) offer to program it in advance with your device’s serial number. This will allow your device to work properly but you obviously lose all of the data you had originally. Hopefully you have a full backup in iTunes or iCloud. Replacing the NAND requires micro-soldering with good quality tools and plenty of experience.

In which website I purchase new sn#
