Hi everybody. Can anybody tell me how to sync a A1466 logicboard with the Topcase. Changed the topcase from US layout to european Topcase, but left Shift Key is not working. Already tried several steps (Internet recovery, SSD from european version with OSX pre installed) but nothing solved the issue. :-/ I’m not able to change the layout from US (10 Keys between left and right shift key) to european layout (11 Keys between left and right shift key) Thanks in advance, Ben
If you have performed all software tweaks found in system preferences/keyboard to no avail try resetting SMC: turn off the Mac, press shift+ctrl+alt+power..you’ll see magsafe light going from amber to green and amber again. Boot the Mac and before the chime press alt+cmd+P+R and keep them pressed until the second chime to reset Pram. If no joy, try reseating the keyboard cable on the logic board. If none of these work, possibly you got a faulty topcase.
