My Samsung has two ice makers one up top and one in the bottom drawer. One up top works great and makes ice the one on the bottom nothing. Ice is in the tray but hasn’t dropped in 4 hours. Any ideas?
Blaine, is it turned on? On the display you have to turn each ice maker on separately. You’ll see an icon on the display. It’s a square with an ice marker on the top left inside the square. That is upper I/M. Push the setting and you’ll see the I/M is now in the bottom of square. That the lower I/M. Make sure it’s turned on. The owners manual will explain better. If it’s on, reach in the tray, does it have ice cube form? There should be a reset switch on the bottom of I/M head. Push it for 5-10 seconds. It should advance, drop the ice and fill then stop. I These I/M can have bad gears. The gears won’t turn the tray. The tray can get stuck or damaged The temperature has to be below 9*F for it to advance through the ice harvest cycle. I hope this helps determine the proble.
