I just performed a screen replacement following an Ifixit guide and using the Ifixit replacement screen. I took my time and Everything went smoothly. When I powered it on the problem is the top 15% of the screen doesn’t register any touch input. Everything else works as intended. I took it back apart and plugged the broken screen back in and the touch still works everywhere on the broken screen leading me to believe it’s a problem with the replacement screen and not something broken on the motherboard during replacement. I can’t see any missing pins on the connectors of the new screen. Any troubleshooting ideas before I return the screen?
Sounds like faulty screen to me. Seeing you have configured old screen has full touch function. Or its even possible the pins on the screen side have been damaged.
Have you tried plugging in the new screen again or try cleaning the screen cable connector with 99% isopropyl alcohol?
