The same thing happened to me today. I dropped my phone with out realizing and went back for it only to find tire tracks covering it with my screen totally cracked. After that happened it was still able to get notifications and siri worked. Then everything stopped working and I plugged it in to charge and it kept vibrating like it was charging but then would stop. Any suggestions on what to do?
Jessica Fisher, the way I would proceed is to stop using or charging/syncing it first. Then disassemble the phone to evaluate the damage. If the logic board is okay (no cracks, missing components etc) I would replace the parts that are obviously broken i.e. the display. Of course you also want to replace the battery. Take a good look at the case itself, make sure it is not to misaligned etc. Replacement of the parts will depend on their overall condition
