Can anyone who has successfully replaced the lightning/headphone port on their iPhone 6 give any advice on successful installation? After replacing mine cell reception was poor (often have “No Cell Phone Service” as the top battery consumer) and iFixit diagnosed it as a faulty replacement and sent me a 2nd replacement. I installed that and ran into the same problem again. They’ve now sent me a 3rd replacement part, and before I attempt to install it I’m hoping someone can provide tips from a successful install. On my unsuccessful attempts I’ve reseated the cell antenna cable multiple times, cleaned the connector, confirmed the place where the flex board is attached to the rear case is secure, made sure the antenna cable clip is secure, and still I have poor reception. Is there anything else I can be doing during replacement to make sure I’ve got it right? I’m happy iFixit has been willing to keep sending new parts, but frustrated as my phone went from somewhat problematic (inconsistent charging from a worn out lightning port) to pretty much unusable as a phone (because phone reception varies from erratic to nonexistent). Thanks in advance for any tips.

My guess is that they have a bad batch of defective charging port assemblies. These parts are essentially plug n play. As long as you don’t push hard on the charging port assembly there should be no issues.
