Every time I restart my laptop the time is wrong. I reset the time, but the next time I turn off the laptop the time is lost again. Sometimes if I do not change the time on the laptop right when I start it the time will fix itself after a little while.
It is possible that your CMOS battery has died. Look for directions on opening your laptop and check to see what type of battery your motherboard uses. Try replacing it and see if that solves your issue.
