If I install a new hard drive in my time capsule, when I power the device up will it boot normally? I recently replaced the hard drive in my MacBook pro and had to jump through several rings of fire to get it working again. I am debating about just buying a new time capsule instead of trying to upgrade the broken disk.
Time Capsules use a different format than a Mac system. So don’t bother trying to configure it off of your system. Once you put in the new disk in, use Apple’s AirPort Utility to setup the disk.
