Hello guys, So I have a Macbook Pro 15" Late 2011 edition, I believe with the Radeon 6770, though I cannot confirm anymore since it won’t turn on. It actually overheats and it also has a magenta tint due to a broken connector. So, one fan is bad, (the one on the right if you have the bottom case off), two components are broken off, and one connector is bad. I am trained in micro-soldering and run repair, so I can fix the damage…but I have no idea what each component is and where to buy it. I could use some help with that part. Here follows images I took with my microscope:

First component…no idea how it broke off or where the component is. You can see it is between the lightning port and the first usb port, to the left of the left fan.

This capacitor looks like it leaked open, judging by the discoloration of the leads. This is found on the top right of the left fan. There appears to be some bulging as well, though I am not really knowledgeable enough to say whether it has damaged the run.

This one the metal bracket covering the connector snapped off. It is on the bottom left of the left fan. Any idea what each of these are?

@cmkinusn lets see if this will at least get you started. This is just to identify the components, not to diagnose your board. BTW. most of this looks like water damage and corrosion. The cap is not leaking (it is not an electrolytic cap) but corroded

Reference designator L4610 is a DLP11S inductor 90 ohm 100MA

Reference designator C7526 is a 10UF 16V 10% capacitor in a 0805 package.

I am not sure about the third component you describe. I attached an image of what I think you may be referring to, but it is on your Magsafe DC board. Looks corroded and may be better to replace the board. Cost of it is around $15USD. You may need to repost an image to identify which component you are looking for.

@oldturkey03 L4610 is avialble with http://uk.farnell.com/murata/dlp11sn900h… but it is 150 ma. do you think 150 ma will make a difference?

The third item is a LVD connector for the lcd screen. I believe this is the one you would need but it can be a challenge to solder. I would recommend buying several of it os your first time. And you might also need the LVD Cable if it is damaged or corroded also. Good luck!
