Hi there. I made a “Frankenstein” iPhone 6 from the corpses of 3 other iPhone 6 that had various problems. It works fine but the battery is completely off - it doesn’t last much and gives off totally wrong charge values. Is there anything I can try before replacing the battery that could improve the issue? the battery and the motherboard come from different phones so maybe it needs to be calibrated. Couldn’t find anything elese than “replace the battery” in the troubleshooting guide.

The only calibration that can be done is to let the phone run off battery until it dies out and then let it fully charge, even better if left on charger a few more hours after it reaches 100%. You may repeat procedure a couple of times if needed. Try to pay attention if you have areas of the phone overheating for no apparent reason as that might point to a short depleting battery power.
