I have a seemingly random looking, diagonal, line on my screen. It is only visible with colors like (dark) grey and blue. Black is too dark (it won’t show) and white (or other light colors) won’t show the line either.
I made a photo of the line, and in the photo it is not too visible, but you can see it. In real life it is not much more visible either, but since it is there, I want to know if I can expect other problems, or if I can fix it. Thanks for your help
What you are seeing are Moire lines converging. The cause is the intersection or the warping of the light signals. In some cases signal leakage can also cause this. Often moisture gets between the cover glass and the LCD panel or the LDVS cable is bad. In your case I suspect the cable is bad. Update (10/17/2015) Looking at your image again Old Turkey I think is right! You have a bad LCD.
