When I press volume up, the phone goes on silent. When I change the ringer switch, it makes the volume go up. Does this constitute a new button ribbon cable, or is there something else I can do?
You need to rule out parts first, so yes replace the Power Volume Mute Button Flex Cable they usually come with the metal bracket.
