when i replaced the screen i tested it to make sure it worked before closing it it turned on but when i go to close it the screen goes black and shuts down then i have to disconnect the battery then reconnect then it turns on again i think its grounding itself but i cant find where
Hey Scott, It sounds like you may have a faulty flex cable in your display assembly. It may have a small spot inside where it has worn down, and when it bends, two wires contact each other, shorting the phone and resulting in a shutdown. To make sure that the issue is as a result of your display (and to rule out any other issues), try connecting your old display and see if anything appears to be shorting out again.
