So I sold my iPhone 6 (fully working) to someone and after 2 days that person sends me a message saying that when he makes a call the other person on the phone can’t hear him. I asked him to try the voice memos (to check the microphones) and he says that it works perfectly. And the calls on whatsapp don’t have any problem. Is it possible anything like this? In conclusion: In normal calls the other person can’t hear him. But on whatsapp call there’s no issue. What could be the issue?

Hmm…I will assume that the phone was working fine when you sold it. If you didn’t ship it, then it’s hard to see what could have caused any damage. If the microphone works in voice memo then that’s the same microphone used for calls. However, the other microphones are used for noise cancellation so ideally, they should all be tested: The bottom microphone is for Voice Memo and phone calls. The other microphones serve as error cancellationThe (top) front microphone is used for FaceTime calls, Siri and selfie videos with the front camera (FCAM). The top back microphone serves as error cancellationThe (top) back microphone is used for videos with the rear camera (RCAM). The top front microphone serves as error cancellation If there is truly an issue, then you need to determine what the new owner expects…a repair, a return/refund.
