My Itouch’s backlight on the lcd was bad so decided to replace the LCD with a new one. Got one and put it in. Now the new LCD won’t work at all. Relooked at all connections and everything is correctly connected. iTunes recognized the iTouch, but I can see nothing even when it is on and charging. did I do something wrong or is it a bad LCD?
Have you tried a hard reset? Sometime after LCD repair you will need to hard reset the ipod by holding the power button and home button until the device restarts. Its best to do it while connected to itunes because you’ll know the ipod has restarted when it disappears from the devices menu in itunes.
Try cleaning the LCD socket on the logic board with distilled water and isopropyl alcohol. In my experience, no backlight was solved by carefully cleaning debris and corrosion.
