After a fall to the ground the phone can not find mobil network. It’s just searching and searching for net. I have tried to reboot the phone, but it’s still not working. Do you have an idea to what’s gone wrong? Do you know where the network antenna is on IPhone XS? Tanks for any answer😊 Best regards Runar ( from Norway )
hello Runar, Unfortunately, the problem is not with the antenna. The modern motherboard, which is undoubtedly the XS model, is built vertically (from the X model upwards), instead of horizontally as before. A hard fall is often the cause of damage to the connection between the layers of the motherboard. In extreme cases, the damage goes deeper into sensitive part - which we call the “interposer”. In your case, I guess we are dealing with a crack in the connection. It is necessary to rebuild the connection (soldering). Find a good repair shop, you won’t fix it yourself at home because of a equipment needed and precision soldering skills. Prices for this service may vary by location. The fact is that no spare parts are needed for this. A technican will remove the motherboard from the case, desolder the sandwich, prepare a new connection layer and solder the two parts again. The time needed to perform the activities and thoroughly check it is about 1-2 hours of work. hilsen fra Polen, lykke til.
