Hello everyone!
A couple of days ago, the left hinge of my MacBook Pro started to be very stiff. If I try to close my screen, it pops back open. I first thought that there was something stuck in the hinge, but I didn’t see anything. I tried wiggling the screen a bit, but it only made it worse. I am also a bit worried that if I open the case, the hinge will be broken and instead of being stiff, it will be very loose. I tried searching the web, but I can only find MacBooks with loose hinges instead of (1) really stiff hinge. Has anyone seen this problem before? I hope someone can help!
Yes, we have seen this a few times! Follow this guide MacBook Pro 15" Retina Display Mid 2014 Lower Case Replacement Get some WD40 spray it into the cap to concentrate the spray into a puddle (it doesn’t take much!). Use a Cotton Swab (Q-Tip) to dip it into the cap and then wipe the gap between the hinge.
