So i bought a front camera here in ifixit. But when my technician install it it said face id not workibg try again later. I want to know if the front camera that I bought has a plastic covering the camera and infrared camera when you shipped it?
Hello Francisco That piece is synchronized with the motherboard, just like touch ID. If you replace it, you will have a new camera but it will not work for face ID. I have not checked this personally, but too many people have had this problem. Bye
@francisco_tatad Here’s a great thread that talks about the issue you’re facing (no pun intended). Is it possible replace Face ID parts?
