I have an LG LFX29576SW/00. The ice masker stopped making ice. If you hit the reset button, it dumps the ice and refills the tray. I bought a completely new ice maker module which includes the optical sensor. The new one does the same thing. I have no idea what is next except maybe replace the board.
William O. Make sure ice maker is turned on. It can take up to 48 hrs for it to produce ice. If the temperature at the i/m isn’t below 9f it will not advance. Dirty coils underneath the refrigerator can raise the temperature above 9f. Clean the coils at least once a year. If the temperature is below 9*f and it cycled and filled, and it has been two days and your sure it is turned on, and still no ice, I’d say that you have a bad ice maker.
