I installed Windows 10 to my Dell notebook, since that I am not able to shut down the notebook. When I go to: Start>Power>Shut down appears the “Shutting down“ then screen shuts down but the power button is still lighting and the fan is working as well.(Restart is working) I tried to type various shutdown commands like: shutdown /s /f /t 0 to the Command Prompt.(First time worked, then no) I disabled Turn on Fast Startup. I updated all the drivers. Is there any other method to shut down the computer? Thank you for answers.

I had the same problem. Unable to shut down (or taking ma-aaaaaany minutes) my Dell E6410 with Windows 10 installed. Took me 2 days searching, but than found the solution. The Wireless WWAN Card (sort of GSM network card, I don’t use it, but is installed in my E6410) is causing the unable to shutdown problem. I removed this hardware (could not find how to disable it in the BIOS), and than the problem was away. Removing this hardware is shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU66rWRF… Hope’s it works for u to!
