Whenever i plug in the charger in my laptop i get enormous frame drops and i notice my laptop get hotter then usual. My laptop also loses charge rapidly. I can only last about 30min-45min depending on what i’m playing and sometimes only 1h if im doing anything else. Need help.
Hi, Check that the charger’s output voltage is 19.5V DC If it is then the laptop heating up and the battery lasting for less than 1 hour appears to indicate that the battery is failing and needs to be replaced. Try replacing the battery and then see if the problem is still there. Here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop, taken from this webpage Scroll to p.65 to view the steps to remove/replace the battery. The battery part number is 756743-001.
