My laptop has been flickering only when on battery. Most of the time, it wouldn’t flicker but after a few hours of use, it would flicker a lot. I noticed that it’s only the backlight of the LCD that’s flickering and it would flicker mostly when the GPU is in use. Anyway to fix this problem? My laptop is an ASUS F555U or X555UJ.
The thermal paste method didn’t work so I had no choice but to replace the whole screen.
it sounds like a heating problem. Sometimes the cooling system cant handle coolig the right way. Is your fan clean? My guess its de cooling paste. Maybe you can get a good thermal paste and redo the chip and heatsink.
