Chosen Solution
So my Tempstar AC is going to be 19 years old this year. It kind of struggles to cool the house, but it gets the job done. Should I look for a whole new hvac unit (including heat/AC)? Or wait till this one dies on me? My house is 3200 sq ft.
I’m in the same boat but I keep it running well by having the freon topped up at the start of the season. I change the filters monthly (bought by the case on eBay). Also use a garden hose and wash out the grills on your outside unit so it can do its job efficiently.
