I have had my TCL Roku 55” TV for about 3-4 years, so I am well beyond the warranty. Recently the TV started to flicker on the right side, so I turned it off and back on. Upon startup, we discovered the TV now was much darker on the far right side. All of the screen is still visible; it’s just the far right side that is darker than the rest of the screen. I have tried to do some research on the problem, as I’d like to repair it myself. From what I’ve read it’s an edge light that has gone bad? I could be wrong. I’ll add an image for reference.

Todd Gingerich  look slike issues with the backlight strips. Possibly a couple of failed LED’s. You will have to disassemble your TV and your LCD panel to get to the backlight. 55” panel is a bit tough since it is large and loves to flex. Make sure you keep it on a level surface and try not to manipulate it too much so as to avoid flexing it. To find the proper backlight you will need to get the information from the level which you should find on the back of the panel. Once you know the make and model for your panel do a search for backlight strips. Check on here for parts
