I have a TCL 55R615-CA, and after setting it up on a wall mount I noticed the screen seemed to have a flicker, particularly when displaying significant areas of white. I took a slow-mo video of the screen with my iPhone to see if I could tell what was going on. It appears that the screen flickers between full color and monotone-red (which is why it wasn’t immediately apparent on the Roku menu screens). I’ve tried doing a display setting reset, a factory reset, unplug/re-plug, and adjusting each of the display setting when on a specific input with no appreciable change in the flickering. Is there something I can do to fix this?
Yes, I took it down off the mount to see if that did it and it didn’t help. I did fix it though. I took the back off, exposing the circuit boards and found a loose connector between the mainboard and the T-con board. A little press with a click from the connecter, and much to my releif the TV turned on with no problem. I guess the connector was never properly installed, and my jostling the TV must have caused a couple of the contacts to finally break their connection.
Hi @fearra , Does it still do this if you remove it from the wall mount and try it on a stand (or carefully just holding it)? Have read with other models that sometimes when wall mounting, pressure is placed on the mainboard by the mount being screwed too tight etc
