Hello, I am having problems with my vintage tape deck, I got the thing running with new belts but the audiotapes are extremely quiet, full volume on the deck and its just about audible that something is playing. The strange thing is that the test function of the deck works perfectly and nearly blew my ears of when I switched it on. So there is no problem with the main mosfets, and in general dead mosfets wouldn’t result in quiet playback. Anyone got a clew? I’m a noob when it comes to tape equipment has it something to do with the play head?
