My PS3 model CECH-2501A at first kept turning off after 3 sec. I changed the power supply, still had the same problem. Changed the mother board. Powered on good however, no connection. I get a Dark Screen with: “Device could not be accessed. Please check the cable connection and device settings.” I checked the HDMI cable, even changed it, still getting the same response. The system will not boot up to the PS3 blue screen. anyone have a solution?
Did you switch the board in the cd drive they are cpu linked to the mother board and the codes have to match. Stephen T. Professional Repair Tech for Over 5 years Samsung and Apple Specialist
What did is went to PlayStation.com downloaded PS3 version 4.81 system files on a flash drive then ran the PS3 on safe mode and restored the system files which did the trick. My system is up and running again however, I do want to thank you for your advice and also You Tube. Restoring the system files worked.
