My son broke his switch lite screen. The touch part still works. Do I need the LSD screen/protector, the digitizer or both?

You only need to replace the LCD screen, but I would also recommend buying another digitizer. iFixit has the digitizer and LCD replacement guides, and you can buy the screen and digitizer from them.
