My MacBook has a badly cracked lower case. The tape I’ve been holding it together with so the power adapter will connect is no longer going to cut it. Your tutorial for how to replace the lower case looks intimidating. For about $80 on eBay I can buy the identical laptop. Can I just swap out the hard drives and be back in business?
Yes. You can. You can swap them as they are both macbooks and they are both the exact same system. Depending on the amount of ram your macbook has compared to the other one, you might want to swap that out too.
