I have an iPhone XS Max that has a busted screen and busted back glass. Both need replaced. My question is, if I buy a locked iPhone XS Max on eBay with a good screen and good back glass, what components do I need to swap over from my phone to that one? Does everything need to be swapped over, or just certain parts? Thanks
You’ll certainly need to transfer over the logic board and Earpiece Speaker and Sensor Assembly in order to retain the FaceID . Check out these guides (Guide 1 / Guide 2) for more details. Be extra careful with the Sensor Flex because if you damage it, only Apple can replace it to maintain FaceID. You’ll want to use a tool like 3uTools to test the condition of each battery so that you can pick the best of the two so get a battery adhesive in addition to a screen adhesive to do a nice job. For the rest, everything should be fine unless you accidentally damage a flex during the transplant. You
