Hey Guys I have a 2017 macbook pro A1707 in silver that is working fine but I have a donor 2018 macbook pro A1990 in grey which is completely dead. Both have touch bars. My question is, can I swap the body of the grey 2018 to the silver 2017 since I prefer the grey colour. Is it possible? are placements of components the same? Thanks,
The 2016 and 2017 share the same parts. The 2018 and 2019 share most of the same parts. Sadly there is too much different between the two series groups to do what you are looking for. How about looking at skins to cover the case so its more pleasing to your visual palet and give it some distinction! As an example I covered mine in Black carbon fiber
