Hi, I suspect that the replacement battery I ordered is faulty. I carefully followed the guide to change the battery and all seemed to be ok. However, when attempting to power on the iPad again, nothing happened, it was completely dead !? Thinking I possibly had damaged the iPad in some way I changed back to the original battery but found that this still worked fine and also showed it was charging ok with the adapter. I again changed back to the replacement battery and left charging overnight. However, this has made no difference. Is there anything else I should do ? It does seem like it’s a faulty replacement ? Thanks, Richard

If you have access to a multimeter, you could try to measure the voltage directly at the battery. It needs to be ~3V minimum in order to boot the device. If it reads 0V, then it may be damaged. Sometimes, these batteries require activation but you need to have the proper tools and knowledge. I would contact your vendor/supplier and see what options are available.
