I bought a replacement battery for my 2012 15” mbp, took off the back, then set about taking out the battery with the Y screwdriver. But, I couldn’t get either of the screws to turn. I stripped one of them (gave myself a dope slap), but I cannot figure out how to get either of the screws out. HELP, please!
When it happens to me I usually cut a slot in the screw head with a dremel like cutting disk. Otherwise you may break some of the plastic under the screws, remove the battery and try unscrewing with a nipper.
