Chosen Solution

I have NO idea what’s going on. I haven’t dropped it, broken the screen or anything. However whenever I try to power it on, it stays on the start screen.

Hi, Firstly, just try charging the phone. If this works, how much charge is in the battery? If low, fully charge, then try to turn on phone. If this fails, try connecting the phone to a PC. See if it works. Hopefully it does, so that you can back up all your phone data to the PC in case in freezes again. As a last resort you can try a hard reset WARNING! Master resetting your smartphone will result in the deletion of all personal data stored on the device, including downloaded content, images, custom ringtones, applications, contacts etc. All settings will be restored to factory values. Data stored on the SIM and SD cards will not be affected. Turn off your smartphone Press and hold the “Volume Up” and “Power” buttons at the same time When the “ZTE” logo appears on-screen, release the keys Press “Volume down” to navigate to and highlight “wipe data / factory reset” Press “Power” to select the option Press “Volume down” to navigate to and highlight “Yes – delete all user data” Press the “Power” key and wait for your smartphone to reboot if you don’t wish to do this, give ZTE support a call, they may have a less drastic option

Hi, Firstly, have you tried just charging your phone. Does that work? If so how much charge is available? If battery charge low try fully charging, then try turning phone on. If that doesn’t help try connecting your phone to a PC. See if this unfreezes your phone. Hopefully it will because then you will be able to back up the data on your phone to your PC in case it freezes again The only thing left to try is to do a hard reset which will do the following so be very aware’ and if you don’t want to do it contact ZTE who may have a less drastic option “Master resetting your smartphone will result in the deletion of all personal data stored on the device, including downloaded content, images, custom ringtones, applications, contacts etc. All settings will be restored to factory values. Data stored on the SIM and SD cards will not be affected.” To apply this reset do the following Turn off your smartphone Press and hold the “Volume Up” and “Power” buttons at the same time When the “ZTE” logo appears on-screen, release the keys Press “Volume down” to navigate to and highlight “wipe data / factory reset” Press “Power” to select the option Press “Volume down” to navigate to and highlight “Yes – delete all user data” Press the “Power” key and wait for your smartphone to reboot The following link describes how to backup / restore data from your PC http://cellphoneforums.net/general-cell-

Hi, Hope this link will help you troubleshoot the fault

Hi @albertosmith If you have tried a factory reset and it still doesn’t start correctly, as it is only 2 months old I suggest that you verify the purchase date and then consult the manufacturer’s warranty information that came with the phone’s documentation, as to what you have to do to make a claim for a warranty repair or replacement. If you can’t find the information these are the relevant passages from the warranty document (see link), https://www.zteusa.com/media/pdf_files/C… ‘‘For warranty service information, please call the following telephone number: 1-877-817-1759, 1-212-444-0502 or return to the point of sale for the products. The retailer can return the units to ZTE authorized service center in US for repair service Seller will, at its sole and absolute discretion, either repair or replace a product (which unit may use refurbished parts of similar quality and functionality) if found by Seller to be defective in material or workmanship, or if Seller determines that it is unable to repair or replace such Product, Seller will refund the purchase price for such Product, provided that the subject Product (i) is returned to a Seller authorized service center within the one year warranty period, and (ii) is accompanied by a proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice which evidences that the subject Product is within the one year warranty period.’’

I never have seen this on my phone it sway android is starting (Optimizing app 133 of176) what does that mean.

first off you cant power off when its in this mode. or remove battery. but definetly a lot of correct steps stated… zte white screen wont boot up… (removed sd card first) press power button and dont let go of it till you get to the restore options by doing these steps.. while pressing pwr button in just as if to power off till goes black imedietly press volume up and hold. before you feel that start up vibration. remember you never stopped holding power button in. now with volume up button pressed in with power button… as soon as it goes black and the restore options pop up..then only relese volume button up . dont let go power button yet… give it a second then release power button… use volume down button to select option.good luck. 0
