A customer had snapped of their headphones in the audio jack on their iPhone 6. I replaced the whole lightning connector and headphone jack but it is still stuck in headphone mode. Headphones work whilst plugged in but it will not switch back to normal mode. Any suggestions?

you likely have a short in your new component. disconnect the charge flex from the motherboard, and see if it is still in headphone mode.

  1. if it IS IN HEADPHONE MODE, then you likely have a board short from mishandling.
  2. If it ISNT IN HEADPHONE MODE, then you likely have a flex issue, and you will need to re-replace the flex.

is it still stuck in headphone mode when no charge port is connected?
