Hey Everyone, I changed the Digitilizer and the LCD on an Ipad Air as it was broken and showed nothing on the screen. After the repair it shows an uneven lightning on the left side of the screen. Attached are some pictures of the screen.
What is strange to me is that there sometimes is an even unevener lightning with only 3 spots on the left side
Some times the screen wont turn on at all and you just can restart the ipad to get it to show something again. Has anybody had a similar behaviour and knows how to fix it? Additional Info: I saw this thread but won’t be able to do this repair, does anyone know if it is harmful to not fix it or a place in Germany where they can do this repair for a reasonable price? Dark spots on left side of LCD from top to bottom?
Hi There, Its backlight problem on your LCD. 1- open it up again and reconnect the LCD connector again to make sure it seated properly. Any of the connection might not be connected properly. 2- make sure to check backlight flex on lcd screen is inserted properly. If you are not a repair technician don’t attempt it. You will mess up something esle. Which could land up in more expense.
