Hi. My Asus Zenfone 2 Laser is not charging properly. When I plug it and the battery reaches 30%, it stops charging. I have tried charging it on a safe mode and I’ve also tried resetting it. Nothing has changed. I’ve tried restarting the phone whilst it’s plugged. It does charge,l. However, after a few minutes, it stops charging again. What could be the problem? Do you have any solution for this? Thank you
Battery related. It’s either the phone is not registering the battery properly OR the battery is just failing and needs to be replaced. If you know a shop that has a battery tester kit they can diagnose it and determine if that’s the issue or not. Otherwise, replacing the battery would be another option
(I 2x posted so the OP could see the answer as well.) Yep, I know this is a year later, but yes, I had this same problem. I had to replace the battery to fix it. The “new” battery lasted about a year before doing the same thing. All you can get now are 3rd-party or salvaged batteries for it.
