I’ve had 46" Sony Bravia TV set since August, 2013 and I guess by now it should be out of warranty. Suddenly, in September of this year, 2016, while in operation it stopped showing any light or pictures and no sound! Now, when you switch it on, only the logo SONY comes on. It’s model number is: KDL 46BX450. Any idea of what could be wrong and what I possibly can do?
Hi, Since you are getting the logo it indicates that the power and video circuits are mostly functioning. Try reinstalling the firmware for the TV. It may be that it has been corrupted. Here is a link that details how to update the firmware for your model TV. It may be that you already have this version of the firmware and hopefully you will be able to re-install it if it is.
