My jeep was recently broken into and I just got it back from repair. My stereo will no longer connect to my Samsung Galaxy S8 to play music but will still play calls. To listen to music I select “BT” and that option won’t even appear on my radio, only AUX and RADIO. Music won’t even play off my phone speakers when I have the blue tooth connected. I’ve tried turning both devices on and off and deleting the device and re pairing it to the radio. I’m lost, please help! Thanks!
Hi @lpj , Try “resetting” the system and check if the BT option re-appears. Here’s a link to the User manual. Scroll to p.6 En to view how to reset the system. (It’s just above the Radio heading on the page) If that didn’t work you could always try updating the firmware and see if that resolves the problem Here’s a link to the firmware download page for your model. Type DEH-X4900BT into the search box on the page to find the download, then follow the instructions in the updating the firmware link above.
Go to the actual settings on the head unit (where you change the time) and scroll all the way to the Bluetooth audio and switch it from off to on.
