Same problem: motor and light would run temporarily for 3 - 5 seconds and then turn off. Replaced the small motor (Jameco Electronics part number 206949QJT-360S-14280 ) in the brush head and lubricated the pivots on each side of the roller brush. Not sure, but resistance against the roller brush may have damaged the original small brush head motor. Don’t use the vacuum brush head on throw rugs or other carpets.
