I need to know the steps I follow to open up my laptop to get to the motherboard and than the steps needed to replace the thermal paste between the CPU and The Heat sink.. I have a Acer Aspire Model 5742 laptop.

Hi help4680, I found this video here. The separation of the heat sink from the CPU starts around minute 7. I hope this helps. Steffen
