Device was used in hot tub for over an hour and has suffered steam damage. Replaced the lightning connector and battery but no audio. Works fine with headphones. Replaced the loud speaker and still no audio. Do you think it could be a faulty replacement lightning connector or perhaps more serious such as the audio chip or a logic board issue? I replaced the lightning assembly originally as the device had charging cable issues which are normally rectified this way. Thanks for any pointers. Hugh

It is most likely a faulty charging dock. If your headphones work it will not be the audio IC. The only other component would be the speaker amp but I would rule out parts first.
