Best look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVeR0I3Z… Opened the TV and put pressure on the ribbon connecting TCon board to the led panel. Cleaned the cable connecting mainboard to tcon. Nothing. BUT one time during tinkering, the lines vanished for 3 seconds. It has been broken for months. That 3 second fix has to mean something… Where could the problem be ? Any tips on diagnosing please ? TV Details: Indian brand 40” LED Thanks
nikhil this could be a main board issue. Check it out for obviously damaged components. Post some good pictures of it. The other issue could be related to your LVDS cable/connector and lastly it is possibly your LED controller board (thin green board on top) check the ribbon cables entering the panel. Careful, those are frail. Turn your TV on and gently pussh on the ribbon cable on the side where you have no screen. See if that changes anything.
Hi nikhil Because the distortion is largely on half of your screen, the issue is most likely caused by your TCONN board or the connection between the TCONN board and your LCD panel. From the pictures it looks like the TCONN is integrated into the panel board on your TV to save on costs… If you put pressure on the tiny brown cables at the bottom it should change what you see on the screen, however there is no permanent fix that I know of for this issue.
