Hello Mike, thank you for the answer. My problem was error 29 at my 3GS 32GB Serial 88018H693NR, Model MC133T/B, BB 05.15.04-6.4_M3S2, FW 4.2.1 because of a old batterie. I have ordered a new battery in Germany with the number 435th. However, I was mistakenly delivered a 431. But I tried it and this work… I was able to recover the device with itunes. But now I have another Problem with the LCD-Display-connector. It is broken. I ordered a new LCD-Display and replaced it. Now the iPhone will start only until apple logo. A little later the egg timer is going round. In itunes it work fine. I see everything. What can I do now? Many thanks Wolfgang
I’m happy to say, I found the problem! It’s up to the flat cable No. 3. As soon as it is not plugged in, the phone will work wonderfully. I’ve also tried a second cable. With the same result. So must have the plug no. 3 be damaged on the board. I must find a specialist for the SMD solder. Many greetings Wolfgang
the “cycling” of apple or not booting is often a sign of power problem ie not enough to boot up. Itunes may recognise the phone but it sounds like you can’t get through the boot.try a restore with itunes or hard reset. It may be that your battery connection is poor or dock connector 4 is poor. try cleaning and reseating both these things. when you try itunes see if you get a restore error. Is the new battery charging? try wall charger first as USB/computer connection for charger is not as powerful and this may be why it won’t boot too!
Hi, I’ve finally found the error. Under the microscope you can see the twisted contacts from the connector 3. Once they have realigned. Now everything works fine again. Eventuele later I will solder the new connector. Regards Wolfgang
