Cable pulls out about 8-10 inches then stops. I’ve taken the lid off, cleaned out all the grime and dirt, replaced all parts, won’t pull out. It pulls fine when the housing is loose.
Sounds like something in the housing is binding it. Look at a spot where it is binding or getting rubbed and see if it is dented in.
