I have a 10yr old Neff dishwasher - integrated. The rest of the control panel works and the start button physically presses down - but won’t start cycle. The pump seems to be working (makes a noise when turns on) Model = SS1MSX1GB/29
Hi @doc_norman , I don’t think that it is the pump your hearing but the water inlet solenoid being turned on to test that there is a water supply available to wash the dishes. There is a reed flow meter (supplier example only) that operates when water flows past it in the machine. If it does, the flowmeter signals the control board to allow the dishwasher to start. The logic is that if there is no water available, there’s no point in starting the machine. I can’t find a parts diagram for your model so unfortunately I can’t tell you where it is located. I had a similar problem with my Bosch dishwasher (Neff and Bosch belong to the same group of companies I believe) and the flow meter was the problem. It was located on the left side of the dishwasher but this doesn’t mean that it is in the same location in your model. Just something that I’d check.
