Is it possible to remove a SSD card from a MacBook pro and put it into a different MacBook Pro (Same model) to retrieve data from it? I spilled some water on my Mac and want to put my SSD card into my girlfriends Mac as she has the same model as me. Should this work?

Yes that’s possible if it’s the same model and year. 2012-early 2013 SSDs are compatible, late 2013-2015 are compatible. Just make sure to disconnect the battery before removing/installing the SSD.
