Hi, for a few days Im experiencing celular signal loss. Once i get “searching“ or “no service“, its very difficult to get it back. After a good while in airplane mode, on-off-on, reset… it comes back! I contacted my carrier to see if they are experiencing problems or are working on some of the local settings. They don’t have any info. I have dismantled the phone, all the way down to the logic board. Did not disconnect the flex antenna cable (does this include celular antenna???) Reseated all connections, put back together. All working ok. Problem seems to be concentrated when Im at work (rural area), so I have my doubts about SW/HW issue. Does the flex antenna cable include celular antenna? or is that the coaxial next to the battery connection?
If your phone was grounded or bumped in the past it may easily be a board issue, that’s relatively common on the iPhone 6. When you get the no service try dialling on your numeric pad *#06# that normally gives the IMEI code as response. If that’s missing, the board issue would be confirmed.
