Hi! I spliied a little bit of coffee on my Macbook Pro 13’ and I didn’t do the proper checklist of things you should do when this happens (flip it over, turn it off, pray…) My keyboard was not fonctionning well (obviously) so I hooked up my IMac bluetooth keyboard on it in order to do a back up on an external drive (just in case things went back, and they did…) which I did sucessfully. Then I turned off my laptop. The problem is that it won’t turn back On. Could cleaning the keyborad from the inside help? How can I know which part is not working properly?

Cleaning might help - at this point you have nothing to loose. If you’re lucky cleaning the keyboard might be a “fix” - otherwise (continuing in the lucky vein) you might only need a new top case. The longer you wait the more corrosion can develop. If this Answer is helpful please remember to return and mark it Accepted.

How do I extract my keyboard? I did the same thing…
